Every winter the Whyalla coastline sees an aggregation of giant cuttlefish. Reaching up to 60cm in length and weighing up to 5kg, they migrate to the shallow waters to mate and reproduce. Males outnumber the females which leads to displays of unusual and spectacular behaviour as the males compete. Cuttlefish are highly intelligent creatures who are able to change their colour, shape and texture. The option to stop on the way at Rapid Bay to dive with the leafy seadragons.
